Washington [US], January 18: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was briefly stuck in Davos (Switzerland) on January 18 after his plane encountered a "serious incident" related to an oxygen leak, according to Reuters.

After attending the conference and side events, Mr. Blinken traveled by helicopter from Davos to the city of Zurich. Mr. Blinken and his accompanying group boarded a modified Boeing 737 plane in Zurich on January 17 to return to Washington DC, according to CNN.
However, the Boeing 737 encountered a problem after he and his accompanying group boarded the plane, forcing them to get off the plane.
According to a member of the group, another, smaller plane was dispatched to bring Mr. Blinken back to Washington DC, while many of the group will return to Washington by commercial plane.
US State Department spokesman Matt Miller said on January 17 that the above plane had a technical problem, and added that Mr. Blinken was expected to return to Washington on the evening of January 17 (US time).
